The 19th International Maritime Pilots’ Association Congress (19th IMPA Congress) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 4 – 8 August 2008.
The Congress will be conducted in plenary at Ballroom I - II of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok, Thailand.

To facilitate arrangements, all delegates and accompanying persons are requested to submit their completed registration forms. For registration information,
Registration and distribution of identification name badges will commence on Sunday, 3 August, 2008 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the Secretariat room located on the 2 nd Floor. It will resume on Monday, 4 August, 2008 at 8 a.m. at the Registration Desk located in front of the congress room (Ballroom I – II) on the 2 nd Floor of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers
Services Arrangement for Delegates
Transportation from Airport
The Host Secretariat will set up a Help Desk at Suvarnabhumi International Airport to provide 19th IMPA Congress delegates with information and transportation to the hotel. The Help Desk will be operational on 2 and 3 August 2008.

Transportation to Airport
The Host Secretariat will set up an Informational Desk in front of the congress room to provide 19th IMPA Congress delegates with information and transportation to the airport. The transportation to airport service will be provided on 9 and 10 August 2008. Please contact the 19th IMPA Congress information desk during the congress dates.
Local Transportation
Group transportation will be provided for all participants for excursions. Individual transportation arrangements will not be provided.
Security Arrangement
Access to the meeting area will be controlled by easily identifiable security personnel of the hotel. Travels outside the hotel will be under tourism police escort.
Language
English The simultaneous in English, French and Spanish interpretation will be available.
Dress Code
Dress code for the meetings will be lounge suits. For excursions to the Royal Palaces, formal dress is required, that is, shirt and neckties for men and dresses and skirts for women.
Communication Facilities
Communication services, such as telephones and facsimile machines, are available for a fee at the Business Center of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok.
Medical Facilities
Medical doctors and ambulances are available at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok.
Visa Arrangements
Participants who hold valid passports or travel documents issued by any country included in an officially issued list of eligible countries are permitted one-month visa-free visits.
